Compliance Manager, Singapore recruitment
Reporting to the Managing Director in Singapore and with a functional report to the Head of Legal and Compliance for Asia Pacific this position comes with an attractive work scope, competitive remuneration and an ideal working location.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Provide timely compliance advice to management and business units of the Branch on local regulations, laws, policies and the impact these have on the business ensuring complete control and commitment to local requirements at all times;
- Review the Bank’s internal policies, procedures and guidelines in order to ensure they are in accordance with the requirements of local laws, rules and regulations and implementing the said policies, procedures and guidelines within the Branch;
- Organize and conduct internal compliance and AML trainings to employees regularly or in accordance with local requirements;
- Monitor transactions and/or account activities of clients of the Branch to ensure compliance with the internal and external AML requirements;
- Identify and evaluate the compliance risks related to the Branch’s operations, including conducting necessary compliance review or check for new clients, new products and new business developments;
- Maintain regular work contact with the regulatory authorities;
- Manage the provision of external legal support to including ensuring that external advisers are duly and appropriately appointed;
- Manage the review, drafting and maintenance of standard documentation from a Compliance perspective;
- To assist the Managing Director of the Rep. Office on some ad-hoc projects.
To be successful in this position you must have:
- More than 10 years experience in a similar role within a bank;
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
