Job Description
We are seeking a bright and energetic individual with good interpersonal skills for the role of Compliance Manager for Singapore, reporting to our Chief Compliance Officer for Asia. This position will be attractive to someone who thrives in the intellectually challenging and stimulating atmosphere of a leading global consulting firm and who desires to progress to a regional role that covers the ASEAN market. This position will be located in Singapore
- Work with business leaders to maintain policies and procedures supporting a culture of integrity, compliance and excellence
- Promote awareness and responsibility through training and regular communication
- Provide compliance advisory to the businesses (FAA, SFA) and updates on regulatory developments
- Manage regulatory matters effectively, including relationships and correspondence with regulators, regulatory examinations, implementation of new regulations, licensing and regulatory filings
- Assist to identify potential risks and compliance issues in new services
- Conduct periodic monitoring to confirm company-wide compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures
- Follow up on audits and inspections and assist in investigations as required
- Assist with global and regional compliance matters as required
- Practise a client-oriented work approach and foster a positive compliance governance culture
The Successful Applicant
- Degree, preferably in Law or Finance, from a top university
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in compliance in a financial institution; team lead experience is a must
- Extensive knowledge of Financial Advisers Act and Securities and Futures Act
- Fluency in written and spoken English; proficiency in other Asian languages a plus
- High levels of "EQ" good communication skills
- Integrity and professionalism; must be a team player
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
- Must be independent and a self-starter
