Reporting to the Head of HK Compliance, you will be fully responsible for:

Evaluating compliance with relevant regulations and assessing the impact of regulatory changes and working with business to build control mechanisms to protect the reputation of the business
Providing compliance and regulatory advisory on an ongoing basis for the business and associated functions
Reviewing new business initiatives, operational procedures and major operational and systems changes from a regulatory perspective
Managing relationships with key regulatory agencies such as the SFC, HKMA, HK Ex and HKSCC
Performing risk assessments and establishing policies and procedures for the business
Providing training and executing compliance testing across a broader dimension of the business
Preparing management and governance reports, where necessary

Requirements for the Successful Applicant

University Graduate holding a degree in law and/or economics preferred
Minimum 5-7 years regulatory or risk management experience gained within a financial institution or regulator
Familiar with compliance risk assessment and testing
Understands Treasury Products
Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and their practical application
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
Self starter and strongly motivated to achieve higher standards over time
