Barclaycard's Legal function is evolving. We are diversifying along with our business to provide first class Regulatory Compliance, Legal Support and policy guidance on all business activities which is supporting our growth agenda long term.
 
The jobholder will be responsible for working closely with the business to support and enhance the compliance culture in the organisation.
 
To provide technical guidance, support, tailored feedback on regulatory issues to both the business and the Compliance Manager/Senior Compliance Manager population, ensuring that new business proposals as well as existing processes, systems and controls comply with regulatory obligations and Barclays own standards and principles.
 
The successful applicant will be a subject matter expert on the regulatory rules and requirements of their Technical Team and will work closely with the business to ensure all bau activity/changes and projects within Barclaycard operate and are set up appropriately. As part of this role they will be responsible for enhancing the compliance "Culture" within the organisation by developing in conjunction with the Senior Compliance managers and Compliance Director effective relationships with key business areas within Barclaycard.
