The Office of the General Counsel ("OGC") at J.P. Morgan ("JPM") includes Legal and Compliance professionals who support the firm's various lines of business. Treasury Security Services ("TSS") Compliance supports the Treasury Securities Services business globally. TSS is a dynamic operating business that processes payments and securities and helps institutional investors to leverage their assets.

The global Compliance Department provides a broad range of regulatory and compliance services and advice. This includes regulatory interpretation and analysis, advising on the interpretation of policies and procedures, performing a compliance risk assessment, advising on new product development and implementation, interfacing with the Regulator etc. The Compliance Department also has the responsibility for providing regulatory education and training.

The successful candidate will be required to cover existing and new business in the Channel Islands and assist in providing EMEA regional coverage of Global Custody, Global Network Management and Private Equity Funds Services, alongside supporting the Head of Channel Islands Compliance and the broader EMEA Compliance team on regional and global projects.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

•          Formally assume the Compliance Officer and/or Money Laundering Reporting Officer and/or Money Laundering Compliance Officer role for third party Jersey domiciled funds as well as the deputy Compliance Officer, Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Money Laundering Compliance Officer for the JPMorgan Jersey legal entities

•          Provide timely advice and assistance to the business and third party Jersey domiciled funds on regulatory issues, compliance matters and the Firms policies and procedures both for the location and any product responsibilities regionally;

•          Support the Head of Channel Islands Compliance as well as assist in regional and global projects;

•          Participate in various local governance committees representing Compliance, including for third party Jersey domiciled funds as required;

•          Liaise with Legal Compliance colleagues in EMEA, Asia and the US;

•          Draft and/or the implementation of policies and procedures;

•          Review and approve new products as defined by the firm's new product approval process;

•          Participate in Compliance monitoring and testing, including for third party Jersey domiciled funds;

•          Develop and/or present Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering training, including for third party Jersey domiciled funds as required; and

•          Liaise with Regulators, including for third party Jersey domiciled funds as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

•          Proven experience in a Compliance or similar role, plus a working knowledge of custody services, fund structures and managing a network of sub-custodians from a regulatory perspective across multiple jurisdictions;

•          Good working knowledge of the Jersey regulatory environment, legislation and codes;

•          Excellent communication skills;

•          Good team player;

•          Ability to prioritize, work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and work independently;

•          Ability to work in a regional role and cover multiple businesses remotely;

•          Ability to interact with, and present to, Senior Management locally, regionally and globally;

•          Flexibility on working hours;

•          Travel to Guernsey, London, Bournemouth and other locations as required; and

•          Posses, or be studying towards, a recognized Compliance and/or Anti-Money Laundering qualification.
