Role
Aim/Purpose:

To work within the Compliance team,
assisting to undertake routine compliance activities and the
administration of compliance
procedures.

Major
Responsibilities:

·        
Assist in
maintaining BlackRock's Compliance Plan and monitor compliance with
it accordingly and liaison with BlackRock's Compliance
Committee

·        
Undertake
regular compliance monitoring, surveillance and reporting
activities in conjunction with senior members of the Compliance
Team

·        
Maintain
monitoring database

·        
Undertake
Compliance reviews and audits either independently or in
conjunction with senior members of the Compliance
Team

·        
Assist in
the administration of existing policies and procedures in a range
of areas, including corporate governance, complaints and risk
management

·        
Prepare and
undertake regulatory lodgements as
required

·        
Maintain
range of Compliance Registers

·        
Liaise with
and assist internal and external auditors

·        
Review of
regulatory changes with senior members of the Compliance Team and
assist with implementation within the firm

·        
Assist in
managing compliance with BlackRock's regulatory Licences
 

 

 

Skills

Experience, Skills Knowledge
Required:

·               
Prior experience as a compliance professional (equivalent to five
or more years)

·               
Accounting or legal background preferable.  Working knowledge
of Corporations Law and exposure to financial services industry
highly regarded

·               
Good numerical and analytical skills
·               
Previous monitoring experience
·               
Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, and Access
