Compliance Officer/Manager – Trust Company – Singapore recruitment
Job Responsibilities:
Regulatory Monitoring
- Develop annual compliance work plan and maintain regulatory compliance checklists/control self-assessments
- Conduct compliance reviews and investigations; identify lapses weakness and recommend/follow-up on appropriate remedial action to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Identify and assess compliance risks associated with the business activities of the company, including risks in relation to new products, business and client acceptance
- Monitor staff training plan and conduct training to promote awareness of regulatory requirements
Anti Money Laundering / Counter Financing Terrorism Transaction Monitoring
- Follow up on compliance-related auditors'/MAS' findings relating to AML/CFT and their relevant rectification
- Liaise with MAS and government agencies on AML/CFT issues
- Keep internal procedures manuals up-to-date where they relate to AML/CFT
- Support project in enhancement of systems and internal control mechanisms
- To investigate any suspicious transactions and escalate any suspicious transactions to Manager
Requirements:
- A bachelor degree with at least 2 years experience in compliance
- Strong and clear analytical thought process for resolution of legal and compliance issues.
- Strong written, interpersonal communication and drafting skills
- Self-driven, enjoys challenges and able to work independently as well as in a team
- High level of initiative and sense of urgency and able to work within tight deadlines
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations in Singapore
