Compliance & Risk Director, Financial Management
JOB SUMMARY:
Service and develop the existing client base and to build the Risk and Compliance Practice within the London office. To advise clients on Regulatory Risk issues including transaction, currency, cash management and treasury risks.
JOB OUTLINE:
- To provide regulatory risk advice to existing clients (FS and Banking focused)
- To generate new business for the Risk Compliance Practice
- To build a team to develop the practice into a revenue generating, high performance business unit
- Communicate with process stakeholders and customers at senior executive levels
- Conduct operational assessments
- Define, develop, and manage process improvement implementations with regard to Risk
- Perform project management activities
- Design enterprise processes
- Communicate with process stakeholders and customers at senior executive levels
- Train personnel on improved processes and disciplines
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Suitable Candidates will need to have:
- Worked closely with existing clients to understand Risk and Compliance issues, identify deficiencies and formulate solutions for review and help client execute cure
- Reviewed, challenged and supported clients with their management of risk
- Broad understanding of Financial or Insurance Regulatory Risk including transaction, currency, cash management and treasury risk.
- Managed and led a team of Risk officers and consultants
- Ideally experience of creating and evolving a new successful Risk Compliance team or practice area
- Managed external internal clients relationships and liaising closely with regulators
Essential Experience:
- Proven experience of using all or as many of ERP, Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft.
- Over 15 years within a Risk Management capacity with a broad FS or Insurance Risk understanding ideally within a Consultancy practice, FS or Insurance Firm.
The successful candidate will be expected to have built out the team of consultants, developed the client base and significantly increased revenues in a 3-5 year time frame and will have full practice responsibility equivalent to Partner level in a Big 4 type of consultancy.
Remuneration: £100,000 -130,000 + 10 – 20% bonus
