Compliance Training Vice President, Asia Compliance recruitment
Department Summary:
The Legal and Compliance Department (LC) of JPMorgan Chase Co is responsible for the provision of legal and compliance services to the Firm. LC works with the Firm's Lines of Business and Corporate areas on a daily basis.
The Asia Compliance Education function, which is based in Sydney, Australia, is responsible for the end-to-end management of the Asia Compliance continuing education and awareness programme.
Key Accountabilities/Major Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head of Asia Compliance Education in developing the regional Annual Compliance Training plan, and partnering with the business and location Compliance heads to develop their respective Compliance Training plans. Training Plans cover core Compliance topics such as Code of Conduct, Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Corruption, as well as additional topics to manage business risk and/or comply with regulatory requirements.
- Project-manage the development of Compliance Training courses on core Compliance topics (for Asia or global rollout) or to address local/business-specific requirements. Responsibilities will cover conducting the training needs analysis; partnering with subject matter experts and other stakeholders in development of the training content; coordinating with local Compliance training teams for development and review when training courses are multilingual; engaging training development vendor (internal or external) for online courses, or Production Services team for audio training; coordinating Beta testing for online course; working with the learning management system (LMS) team and Asia Compliance Education administrator on the integration and rollout of the training, and associated administrative functions.
- Participate as a stakeholder in the development, review and testing process of Compliance Training courses.
- Assist location and business Compliance officers in developing supplemental training and education programmes (such as instructor-led training sessions, online assessments, remedial training etc.). Training content is generally based around local regulations, country or business-specific policy requirements etc., and may entail detailed technical writing.
- Develop and/or review Compliance awareness communications, such as periodic email bulletins on key Compliance topics and policies.
- Perform training administration functions as required - providing support to Compliance Training LMS Administrators in Asia; monitoring and reporting on training completions; preparing management reports; deal with employee/compliance officer/management issues and queries etc.
- Participate in working groups, projects and new initiatives related to this function, which may relate to:
- Enhancements and/or upgrades to the LMS
- Review, assessment and implementation of supplemental training tracking and reporting systems
- Review and implementation of new systems, applications, technologies etc.
Skills
Knowledge and Experience Required:
- University graduate.
- Minimum 6 years experience in Compliance role within the financial services industry. Experience in a Compliance Training role a strong advantage.
- Proven experience in developing quality training materials for instructor-led and online training; and proven experience in content development for technical and (Compliance/Risk Management) policy driven content.
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, with ability to interact with personnel at all levels.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities to meet business needs.
- Highly competent in use of PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- Working knowledge of learning management systems, training authoring tools and Sharepoint an advantage.
