No Security Clearance Required about security clearance definitions Position Description Defines requirements for processes, materials, parts and equipment used in the manufacture of composite structure. Designs, develops and qualifies sophisticated production systems to satisfy user requirements. Produces and/or leads production of specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of materials, parts and processes. Maintains compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations. Promotes standardization across business activities. Evaluates emerging technologies for potential application to business needs. Leads development and qualification of new materials, parts and processes to meet requirements. Integrates new technologies as appropriate. Manages test and audit programs to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements. Conducts complex analysis to determine reasons for failures of materials, parts or processes. Implements corrective and preventive actions. Works under minimal supervision. Technical + Design/Produce Process (CE) Basic - Complete knowledge of Boeing composite and elastomer design, production, and build processes (e.g., maintenance considerations, dependability cost model, Producibility trade offs) to effectively influence product design. Preferred - Extensive, specialized knowledge of Boeing composite and elastomer design, production, and build processes (e.g., maintenance considerations, dependability cost model, Producibility trade offs) to effectively influence product design. + Material/Engineer Principles Basic - Complete knowledge of composite and elastomer materials engineering and scientific principles to develop, design, analyze, test, and validate solutions for complex systems and sub-systems. Preferred - Extensive, specialized knowledge of composite and elastomer materials engineering and scientific principles to develop, design, analyze, test, and validate solutions for complex systems and sub-systems. Typical Education/Experience Level 3 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 4 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years experience, Master's with 7 or more years experience or PhD with 4 or more years experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
