Computer Forensic Analyst Job in Mount Prospect, Illinois US

The Computer Forensic Analyst would mainly work with the legal and
HR departments and the goal is to examine digital media in a
forensically sound manner with the aim of identifying, preserving,
recovering, analyzing and presenting facts and opinions about the
required electronic data/information to be used as evidence in
litigations or internal cases.

Main tasks: • Understand requirements from legal and human
resources. • Learn available search tools • Research additional
search tools as necessary • Execute data search according to
requirements • Retrieve and organize data to deliver to requestor
• Provide written or verbal testimony as needed (in court or
enforcement agencies) • Detailed documentation of the data and
cases • Review and/or create processes

Main skills:

• Computer forensics experience (minimum 3 years required)
• Experience providing testimony in court • Experience with search
tools and desirable experience with Symantec Enterprise Vault
• CCE1 or EnCE2 certification preferred or eligibility to take and
pass the exam within 1 year from date of hire. • Excellent
communication skills (written/oral) is a must. • Ability to
collaborate with the IT business area professionals. • Excellent
organization (documentation and tasks) • Ability to manage
simultaneous activities involving different groups, targets,
deadlines and degrees of complexity. • Experience working
effectively in a team environment as a strong collaborative player.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (information
technology preferred) • Some international travel will be required
for training and/or meetings. 10% domestic travel • Knowledge /
understanding of information technology (systems and applications).
• Familiarization with corporate guidelines, processes and
standards related to information security, privacy and data
protection.
