Stat-Ease, a Minneapolis-based publisher of statistical software, seeks a hard-working, self-directed individual to fill a new full-time permanent position as a Computer Support Specialist. This job offers the chance to develop a wide range of computer and software applications skills while working in an informal small-company setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide hardware, software, and network support for company employees and systems
- Develop and maintain Drupal installation
- Maintain and update existing systems and applications
- Diagnose and address problems as they arise
- Train employees on use of software systems
- Support:
- Desktop and laptop hardware
- Windows Active Directory
- VPN
- Microsoft Access and other Office products
- Trac and Subversion
- Internal messaging (Jabber/Openfire)
- Drupal
- Linux
- Hosting services
- Webinars and web conferencing (GotoWebinar)
Additional duties may include:
- Support licensing of Stat-Ease software
- Maintain the testing systems
Qualifications:
- Must be adept at resolving computer hardware and software issues
- Proficiency with scripting languages
- Basic network and website administration
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Extensive experience with computers
- Experience with Drupal and PHP a plus
- Associates degree preferred but not required
