As the Computer Vision Solutions Expert for Johnson Controls, based in Holland, MI, your goal will be to use your software and hardware knowledge to create innovative computer vision solutions in cooperation with other innovation teams in the three JCI businesses of Seating, Interiors and Electronics and close cooperation with other technology groups such as electronics, mechatronics and human factors. You will bring an undergraduate or advanced degree in computer science with emphasis on Programming, Computer Vision, Image Processing, Algorithm Design, Artificial Intelligence or comparable qualification. An engineering degree in mechanical or electrical engineering would suffice as well along with at least 3 years of experience in RD or Advance Product Development from an industrial/manufacturing or consumer products environment. Your ability with human motion tracking using CV methods, object detection and recognition such as gesture recognition, video analysis and processing will be invaluable to qualify for this role. Although there is plenty of research involved this is not a theoretical role as we are looking for a practical expert who can actually program using OpenCV or similar library. Developing and implementing computer vision prototypes in and advanced development environment will certainly make your resume stand out.
