Vendavo, Inc. has multiple openings for Configuration Engineers at its Chicago, IL office.
Job Duties: Responsible for developing customer solutions utilizing company proprietary pricing software tools and products, writing functional and technical design specifications and leading customer application configuration efforts. Duties include design and configuration of modules, resolving technical issues, communicating with customer IT resources to ensure completion of projects; utilizing technical skills such as Java/J2EE coding and development, customer application development on Internet technologies like HTTP, HTML, SOAP, Java Script; XML and SQL; back-end databases Oracle or DB2; large scale project implementation; Weblogic, WebSphere, NetWeaver, JBoss; development methodology and development lifecycle; tools like Eclipse IDE, Perl, Ant, etc. Involves travel up to 25% as part of customer implementation.
Job Requirements: Masters degree in Computer Science, EE, IT or equivalent plus minimum one year experience in systems analysis or software engineering. Requires experience in Java/J2EE coding and development experience, including application development on Internet technologies like HTTP, HTML, WebServices, SOAP, or Java Script; experience with XML and SQL; back-end databases: either Oracle or DB2; WebSphere or JBoss; experience with tools such as Eclipse IDE, Ant or Perl; experience with software development methodology and lifecycle. Willingness to travel up to 25%.
