Configuration Manager recruitment
Purpose of the role
My client, one of the leading actors of wealth manager is looking for a Configuration Manager to join their team in Geneva.This is a global role liaising with teams in Geneva, London and Singapore. The configuration manager will take responsibility for day to day delivery of software delivery services, with appropriate documentation and checks in support of international projects.
Main responsibilities
The role holder will be responsible for:
-Delivering and installing build packages for multiple projects/releases, according to agreed timeframes and with appropriate documentation
-Meeting project/release schedule(s) (Ad Hoc, Weekly, Quarterly or Monthly) and
-Ensuring consistency between releases into System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT) and Live Confidence Testing (LCT)
-Tracking, merging branches and enforcing adherence to the development processes
-Creating and maintaining tools, in order to assist the build team with code deployments
-Executing and monitoring of daily integration builds
-Publishing regular plans and reports for stakeholders, to provide a window into configuration management
-Leading continuous improvements of development, configuration and release management processes
Requirements
-Previous track record working as a configuration manager within a complex organisation working on multi-stream, cross locations development projects
-Have expert knowledge of source control and release management software like Avaloq ICE, CVS, Subversion, ClearCase, Perforce, JIRA
-Be familiar with build tools like Ant or Maven
-Knowledge of continuous integration tools would be a plus: TeamCity, CruiseControl, Hudson
-Knowledge of SQL/SQL+/SQL Developer or TOAD, Oracle DB administration, Windows and UNIX
-Knowledge of scripting languages: Unix scripting (Korn Shell) is mandatory; Perl, Python or PowerShell would be a plus
-Prior experience with Avaloq development/parameterisation would also be a strong plus
-Database Administration training, Unix scripting or administration training, Autosys training, Development training and Avaloq Certification.
