Confirmations Analyst
The Company
Robert Half Financial Services is currently recruiting for a Confirmations Analyst for a well known Commodity Trading Company. The role has been created due to expansion and is based in the West End of London. Our client offers has its own portfolio of assets which give it the ability to source, supply, transport, store, blend and convert physical commodities around the world
The Role
- Reporting directly to the Head of Middle Office, the role sits within a small Confirmations team but is part of a much larger Operations team, affording future development opportunity.
- Ensure confirmations are dispatched in a timely basis
- Ensure that all checked confirmations are updated as being received on the confirmation tracking list on the day of receipt.
- Ensure that the e-confirm screens are reviewed regularly with any trades mismatching repaired accordingly.
- Ensure that all in trades are recorded on the appropriate spreadsheet and that an incident report is written up and circulated to Middle Office Management as appropriate.
- Ensure that all in confirmations are checked against internal systems on day of receipt
- Ensure that all outstanding confirmations are chased on a regular basis and in a manner that can be evidenced.
- Production of daily confirmation MIS, with analysis of mismatch issues.
- Establish key relationships with other counterparties brokers to facilitate the resolution of confirmation issues.
- Skills Required:
- Previous knowledge of energy confirmations an advantage
- Knowledge of any electronic trade confirmation platform (ICE, EFETnet eCM, Global OASYS, Euroclear, Crest) an advantage
- A minimum of C grade in Maths and English GCSE or equivalent level
- Strong system skills
Salary Benefits
The Confirmations Analyst role has a salary of £35,000 and is based in the West End of London.
