Consolidation Accountant/group external reporting-ACA-Major Bank

A consolidation accountant is required to join a brand new role with a major retail bank. The role sits within the group external reporting team, with the client looking for an energetic candidate who can influence and challenge with a high understanding of business from a partnering perspective.

The client: Major Retail Bank

The Role:

Candidates can expect to support the group consolidation, assisting in the design and delivery of migration processes in order to consolidate current disparate activities into one team.

Other roles include but are not limited to:

• Support the development and timely production of Group consolidated numbers on a monthly and reporting period basis
• Assist with the consolidation system development and maintenance, ensuring timely cut off at month-end, building robust process controls and maintaining the BAU particularly during the periods of high change;
• Manage and continuously review the consolidation process, implementing changes with a view to improve efficiency, timeliness and transparency of the reported numbers;
• Ensure Group consolidated reporting deadlines are met following new acquisitions, partnerships and changes to Group structure;

The successful candidate will need the following skills, knowledge and qualifications:

• ACA qualified with at least 2 years’ experience with a track record in:
•Financial reporting and reporting to tight deadlines
•Performing complex global consolidations
•Ability to scope and shape role while adapting to fast changing environment
• Knowledge of financial accounting standards, the best practice controls and their application
