CONSOLIDATION AND REPORTING OFFICER Job in Basel, Basel-Stadt Switzerland

About our client:

Our client is a global logistics company with worldwide operations. It is currently looking for a Consolidation and Reporting Officer.

Job description:

- Manage and organize the accounting and the related administrative activity for the Group Head Office (holding);
- Monitor and deliver consolidated figures in compliance with Swiss Gaap Fer standards and the annual report;
- Provide and deliver operational and financial controlling for the countries under responsibility;
- Analyse, propose and implement all measures and processes to improve and optimize the operational performances of the Group;
- Supervise and lead projects to streamline financial and accounting processes;
- Coordinate and supervise the tax issues;
- Provide a pragmatic support to the entities under responsibility to improve their financial and acccounting processes (including training).

Who we are looking for:

- Appropriate certification in finance and accounting;
- Hands-on and pragmatic candidate with at least 8 years'' experience as a chief accountant and/or financial controller in a market;
- Capacity to build and structure accounting and consolidation process;
- Excellent technical skills in Swiss Gap Fer or IFRS;
- Computer literate;
- Fluent in German and English;
- Experience in the logistic and forwarding industry is an asset;
- Strong analytical, organizational, decision-making, and presentation skills;
- 30% Business travel.
