Construction Accountant
Our client, a leading health care and medical research organization, is currently seeking a motivated construction accountant for its New York, New York office. The ideal candidate will need to have experience reviewing AIA documents and strong knowledge of Owner Controlled Insurance Programs (OCIP) as well as an understanding of the accounting process with different projects. They will utilize their experience managing large construction projects. Candidates must understand Budget Control and have the ability to interface with Project Managers and Multiple Systems. The position offers a challenging work environment along with growth potential. The successful applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): * A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 3+ years of relevant construction accounting experience * The selected candidate will possess strong knowledge of OCIP * The ability to interface multiple systems is required * Candidates must have knowledge with the PeopleSoft software * This position must be willing to work in a team player environment
