Position Summary:

A well-known electrical contracting company in the Central New Jersey area is seeking an experienced Construction Accountant/Bookkeeper to manage financial aspects of the business.

Responsibilities:

Candidate will provide daily management of back office and administrative support functions (HR, AR, collections, payroll, vendor relations, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting). This position reports directly to owner. It is a highly hands-on role, so candidate should be willing to wear many hats. Flexibility is sometimes required for this job—clock watchers need not apply.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have at least 7-10 years of experience in the construction field, and a 4-year college degree is desired. Strong job experience may substitute for a college degree. Excellent organization and technology skills, specifically with Microsoft Office (Excel) and QuickBooks, is a must, as well as the ability to work in a team environment and superior written and verbal communication skills.
