Merritt Harris, Inc. is seeking Construction Consultants/Project Managers for its New York City (Finacial District - Downtown Manhattan) office.
MH is a nationally respected, 75-year old construction consulting firm, which represents construction lenders and real estate investors on all types of buildings (residential, office, hotels, sports facilities, retail, hospitals, educational, etc.). Website www.merrittandharris.com.
Candidates should possess:
· Minimum 10 years of construction fieldwork experience
· Excellent oral and written skills and an operating knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
· Ability to perform both Construction Monitoring and Property Condition Assessment (existing buildings) assignments
· Professional license (RA or PE) or degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Technology. Structural or Mechanical Engineering background would be a plus.
· Working knowledge of plans specs, requisition draw requests, contracts, budgets, change orders, and construction schedules, as well as an ability to evaluate the condition of existing buildings.
· A Driver’s License and ability to do some overnight traveling
