Construction Cost Quanity Surveyor

Job Description AECOM is seeking an experienced and motivated Cost Quantity Surveyor to provide cost consulting services. This full-time position will be based in a client's government office in Quantico, VA. This is an opportunity to apply your background and experience to cost consulting, influencing every step of the construction decision-making process. The role will include the following as responsibilities: Provide strategic advice to clients on project feasibility, project delivery and procurement methods. Coordinate with project management, design teams and contractors. Provide design stage cost planning/estimates and value engineering. Maintain cost control procedures, preparing project cost reports and budgets. Analyze and negotiate change order requests and invoices. Review and agree applications for payment. Review and agree final accounts and project close-out. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in quantity surveying, construction management or architecture with the following: 10+ years estimating, project engineering or project management experience on large-scale CONSTRUCTION projects Bachelors or higher degree in a construction related discipline Experience preparing budgets, cash flow analyses and other financial reports Demonstrated client management, communication and organization skills Ability to lead projects and manage resources Ability to think strategically, plan and problem solve Capacity to work in a team setting with minimal supervision or direction, in a client-facing setting Ability to write complex business documents, such as reports, papers, detailed letters and emails Attention to detail and quality Demonstrated stability and longevity in job history Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P3 beneficial "Secret" security clearance preferred or ability to secure a "Secret" security clearance
