Construction Manager
Description:
Our client located in Regina has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Construction Manager.
The Construction Manager is primarily responsible for establishing and managing the site construction management organization.
In this capacity, the position provides leadership in the performance of all activities related to the execution of construction work including contract administration, quality control, planning and cost control, materials management, office management, labor relations, security, and safety and accident prevention.
Additional responsibilities for the Construction Manager are:
· Ensuring the constructed product meets approved design engineering specifications and drawings in accordance with the Project Plan.
· Upholding contractual and regulatory responsibilities as prime contractor or sub-contractor on the worksite.
· Maintaining relationships with clients and other 3rd parties on the worksite.
· Overall execution of and compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Qualifications for the position include:
· Technical Diploma or Engineering Degree
· Previous experience working in a Refinery environment considered an asset
· Commitment to working in a team environment, with established team building abilities.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong leadership qualities with a demonstrated track record of dealing successfully with internal and external customers.
· Results oriented individual with the ability to interpret and effectively manage multiple and competing priorities and timelines.
· Understanding fundamentals of contracts and experience in managing contractors under the terms of a contract.
