Construction Manager (Electrical/Communications)

Job Description DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in the design of communications and control systems - two-way radio, SCADA, mobile data, paging, automatic vehicle location, SONET, OTN as well as telecommunications networks. Write reports and specifications, produce design drawings, conduct interviews and facility surveys, estimate budgetary costs, evaluate vendor proposals, and provide recommendations to clients. Interpret technologies for client, translating technical considerations into operational impact. Monitor contractor schedule and progress payment requests. Process contract change documentation. Resolve design and construction project issues, conflicts, and problems. Monitor contractor construction activities, provide daily inspection reports, assist in maintaining project construction documentation, coordinate submittal reviews and respond to contractor RFIs. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: BSEE, BSET, BS Physics or Bachelor's degree (minimum requirement), 2-5 years experience in engineering profession, at least 1 years of which is in the design and/or implementation of two-way radio, telecommunications, SCADA, mobile data or other related communications systems. Ability to understand and interpret project plans, project schedules and specifications. Ability to organize and maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation and records. Ability to utilize critical thinking, judgment, and experience to define, analyze, and resolve problems and issues. Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with a wide range of personnel. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
