Construction Manager This position reports to Project Superintendent. We are looking for someone that has construction management experience, understands construction and logistics, and with mining experience. . REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge and familiarity with MSHA safety standards and the ability to enforce compliance. 8 yrs heavy industrial construction experience in the mining industry... milling/processing plants ... Mechanical, electrical and structural knowledge and experience. Bachelors in Engineering or Construction Management preferred. Proficient with standard office and project management software applications. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Safety-conscious, self-motivated, proficient communication skills, long-term career goals, and exceptional work ethic. RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan, direct and coordinate final engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of surface and/or underground mine projects. Review and assess relevant drawings, specifications and safety considerations on assigned projects. Develop schedule and budget for construction and monitor for progress. Ensure, prior to work commencing, that all material, equipment and other required items are available. Ensure all work is to the required standard and that all drawings, specifications, inspections and certifications are strictly adhered to. Be fully familiar with client specific construction specifications and ensure adherence to these standards. Coordinate and report on weekly and monthly basis on all progress matters and problem areas. Hold regular meetings with review progress and resolve problems. Ensure that the Safety Program is adhered to at the site by all personnel. Ensure adequate, qualified supervision and skilled labor resources are employed to meet schedule requirements.
