Construction Plan Reviewer Job in Madison 53713, Wisconsin Us
Duties:
Full time position with a transportation consulting firm providing reviews of highway construction plans, specifications and estimates (PSE) at WisDOT, which comprises of reviewing the work zone-traffic control plans, signal design, signing and pavement marking plans. Coordinates with the Regional Liaisons at WisDOT to ensure timely completion of the PSE review. Maintains a database for all the PSE plans reviewed by traffic operations.
Conducts traffic impact studies, traffic signal warrant analyses, traffic signal timing/optimization, intersection and roadway level of service analyses, site across/circulation analyses, work zone impacts assessment, report preparation, traffic management plan reviews and work zone field reviews.
Prepare geometric design, signing and striping plans and traffic signal plans.

Requirements:
Two to five years experience preferred
Bachelors in Civil Engineering/Transportation Engineering
Familiar with Wisconsin Department of Transportation policies and procedures
Proficiency in HCS, Synchro, SimTraffic, TransCAD, CORSIM, VISSIM, and AutoCAD required.
