Construction Project Administrator
Job Description · Supervise assigned Plant Facilities disciplines within the Region to determine and define plant requirements to meet requested service requirements. · Implement strategies and plans as required achieving established Region objectives for the capital construction program. · Prepare plans and specifications to provide high quality service within established time frames and to meet defined financial criteria. · Serve as the interface within the division on engineering, construction and installation matters helping to ensure conformance to established practices and procedures for the engineering, construction and installation of communications plant. · Supervise construction and installation activities to provide efficient operations and quality service in a timely manner. · Prepare plans and specifications on all projects within the region to support the development of the capital construction budget. · Participate in the process of negotiating and or bidding of projects with vendors and contractors for the construction and/or installation of plant facilities. · Coordinate with Regional Markets Group associates to schedule maintenance windows, equipment upgrades and trunk/span turn-up. · Provide supervision to technicians on designs and plans to evaluate and implement new services, technologies, and products within established standards. · Coordinate with engineering and installation teams to schedule construction of Network facilities, as well as resolve any issue with engineering designs/plans. · Supervise the development and maintenance of construction cost analysis to provide the basis for engineering estimates and contract awards on a Division level. · Ensure the plans and specifications created by Plant Facilities support approved business strategies and provide a platform that is scalable and migratable to support future service requirements. · Provide recommendations for necessary training for construction/installation staff. · Ensure CenturyLink System Practices are communicated and adhered to. · Stay abreast of industry issues and technologies through continuing education and actively participate in state and local industry committees/forums. · Supervise staff by appraising performance, training, administering salaries, and communicating department objectives. · Assist in the preparation of the FEV and operating budgets for the Division Plant Facilities department. · Prepare written and oral reports regarding capital construction requirements and associated engineering and construction issues.
