Description:
Provides overall direction and management of construction projects as Contracting Officer's Technical Representative, monitors on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations; and monitors risks/problems and helps develop options to resolve them. The Construction Project Manager is responsible to monitor scope development, scope management and commercial performance of the project to meet project goals and objectives. Assists in planning and defining program goals and methods to accomplish them. Represents the BOS-I's interests in cognizant area. Performs other related tasks as required.
Responsibilities:
- The Construction Project Manager will serve as the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative for the overall management and execution of complex projects and day-to-day project- oriented work efforts in order to satisfy BOS-1 Contracting Officer Representative (COR) expectations for deliverables and supporting documentation.Responsibilities of this dynamic role include large project leadership on behalf of the COR, project team interface, and client relations.
- Successful candidate must have experience working on large, complex projects with commercial, residential or industrial clients. The successful candidate must have the ability to interface with a multi- discipline multi-cultural team. This individual must have previous experience in planning, developing, producing construction documents and construction administration with the most experience being in on-site management of construction projects.
- Works with the key project and construction contractor individuals to monitor action plans to rectify potential construction cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work. Advises the client and other team members of any such changes. The Project Manager is responsible to coordinate with the COR and any client sub-contractors to maintain current and timely construction and change orders approval and implementation.
Skills:
- Understanding and knowledge of pertinent federal laws, codes and regulations
- 5 years knowledge and experience in construction processes
- Managing multiple, high-priority assignments simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal skills for facilitating relationships with civilian and military personnel and other decision-makers
- Provide effective supervision or management of Contractor personnel if required
- Audit projects effectively and inform the COR if deadlines are in peril
- Creative problem-solving skills to gather relevant information to solve less well defined planning problems
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
- Conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Respond to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
- Comprehend communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.

Qualifications:
- University degree or college diploma in Engineering, Business Administration or Finance is desirable.
- Ten (10) years direct work experience in a project management capacity.
