General Contractor is seeking a Construction Superintendent for commercial projects in the Austin area. Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years experience, be familiar with working with the City of Austin Building Inspection and Permitting Departments and be proven in working on a Team basis in all phases of design, construction and construction management.

Specific duties for the Superintendent include but may not be necessarily limited to the following:

• Scheduling and coordinating the construction process
• Communicating and managing the subcontracting and vendor team
• Preparation and updating of project schedules using Microsoft Project for accurate management of projects and presentation of schedule updates at project meetings
• Effectively managing the construction process
• Working closely with a Project Manager in the review of shop drawings and providing field requirements as necessary for the approval and processing of submittal approvals
• Oversight of all subcontractors to insure the work is complete within contracted time frames
• Quality control and monitoring of the work on a consistent basis to insure compliance with Contract Documents and to insure the highest quality of work
• Field safety including observing, reporting and conducting job site safety meetings
• Compliance with all Code
• Must have 30 hours OSHA Safety Certification and be current in First Aid and CPR Certification
• Must be a proven and respected leader
