Consultant (Computer Systems Analyst) Job in Redwood Shores, California US

Consultant (Computer Systems Analyst) position available at Oracle America, Inc. in Redwood Shores, CA. Analyze routine engineering, business, and all other data processing problems for application to electronic data processing systems under limited supervision. Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations. Specifically, applies a broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs within a product/technology family when analyzing user requirements and data processing problems and formulating solutions and recommendations. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology that meet customer needs and in order to provide quality work products to an engagement.  Applies company product methodology, procedures, and leading practices.  Delivers functional and technical solutions on customer engagements.  May lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget.  May act as the team lead on projects, providing coaching, guidance and feedback to develop skills of team members.   Consults with management of customer organizations and participates in business development activities.  Utilizes graduate-level research and analysis skills.

Employer will accept Master’s degree in Comp Sci, Engineering, Business or related technical field or related technical field and 2 year(s) of work experience in job offered or 2  year(s) of work experience in a computer software-related occupation. Education or experience must include: 1. Retail Domain knowledge in CRM, Marketing, Planning, Forecasting, Size Optimization; 2. In-depth knowledge in UNIX scripting and RDBMS concepts; 3. In-depth knowledge in RPAS, Planning, Forecasting, Size Optimization, Replenishment Optimization; 4. Analytical reasoning and Problem Solving; 5. Managing and Mentoring resources and work effort; 6. Client Sever, Weblogic, Oracle Application Server, Web technologies, XML; 7. Perform Technical Lead role for new custom implementation or lead large teams implementing major features; 8. Design, code, and implement complex features in accordance with documented requirements; and 9. Lead small teams responsible for the implementation of larger-scale features.  Experience may be gained concurrently.  Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States. 9:00AM – 5:00PM, Mon-Fri; $ 81,529 to $ 123,508/yr, standard company benefits.
