POSITION OVERVIEW:

• MSCI Analytics consultants are responsible for maintaining and growing existing client relationships for all Analytical Risk Management products. Each consultant has an assigned client base. The objective is to ensure the client fully benefits from their subscription, which is achieved by developing a high-level understanding of the clients needs. The consultant ensures the client maximizes the value of the products they have subscribed to and identify additional products that could further benefit the client in their investment and risk management process.

• This role is a highly visible one, with involvement in all aspects of an account including senior level relationship management, product demonstrations, users training and education, and client experience enhancing activities such as presenting at client workshops, seminars, and webinars. In this role, individuals will work very closely with sales, global client service, client consultants, marketing and product management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Total relationship management involving:

• High level management contact

• Strategic planning with an account

• New product placement

• Answer detailed client inquiries about analytical products and methodologies

• Proactively engage with clients on themes like investment management, risk management, portfolio construction, performance attribution etc.

• Inform all clients about analytical products, announcements, projects, etc.

• Present at workshops, seminars, and webinars

• Work with other departments (client service, product management etc) to ensure that all clients requests / inquiries are managed appropriately; own the client experience

• Training clients on the applications and underlying models

• Identify opportunities to increase client usage of our products and use of additional products. Work closely with the sales team on potential up-sell opportunities

• Maintain accurate records regarding client interaction activities

• Proactively solicit client feedback regarding new initiatives and future product development

• Provide feedback from clients to Marketing, Sales, Research and Product Development groups

• Travel to client sites

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Fluency in German and English

• Superior communication and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects

• Strong analytic and quantitative skills

• Understanding of / experience dealing with major international institutions including Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, Broker / Dealers, Banks

• Ideally worked in client firm (Asset Manager) in a portfolio management, risk management, or quantitative research role.

• Strong understanding of the global equity, commodity and fixed income markets, including over-the-counter securities and derivatives and alternative asset classes

• A self starter and highly motivated; ability to work individually and within a team

• Thorough understanding of the Investment Management Process

• Relationship management experience

• Someone who enjoys intellectual and analytical challenges

• Bachelor’s Degree required ideally from engineering/mathematical background. Ideally MBA, or Masters Degree in a quantitative science, i.e. Finance and/or Phd

• Professional qualifications ideally CFA charter holder, FRM (Financial Risk Manager)
