Consultant – Global Business Immigration Services recruitment

The Global Business Immigration Services Group provides and manages a range of business immigration services to multinational clients who send employees, and their families, to work and live in another country. These services typically centre on the compliance and legal issues relating to visa applications, subsequent work permit / visa extensions and passport / nationality issues.
The Group has a busy, client service focused environment, and team members have high levels of contact with corporate clients, assignees and EY contacts at all levels within the organisation, from different cultural and national backgrounds.

Responsibilities:

- The role will involve looking after a portfolio of clients and managing these accounts on a day-to-day basis. In addition there will be 'supervisory' duties, dealing with technical queries from the team and reviewing straightforward immigration applications and emails of advice.

- The successful candidate will be responsible for all UK Inbound immigration issues and will therefore have an excellent knowledge of the Points Based System (specifically Tier 2), settlement, Visas, citizenship procedures, good supervisory and people skills. (Responsibility for Global client account coordination may follow as the business grows but this is not guaranteed).

Specific accountabilities include:

- Responsible for day-to-day supervision and technical support within the UK immigration team

- Using technical knowledge to ensure high level of accuracy in advice

- Deployment of staff / project work during busy periods

- Escalating issues to Management

- Responsible for day-to-day coordination of client accounts

- Liaison with the individual, Government departments etc. regarding immigration issues

- Drafting immigration applications and complex technical advice

- Overseeing and dealing with additional queries and associated administrative matters

- Billing / debtors - ensuring the Group's advisory work is quoted for and billed - ensuring complex cases are re-quoted accordingly

- Monitoring accurate time recording - monitoring and managing bill production and debtor queries

- Risk management / compliance

- Ensuring all client work has necessary client acceptance and engagement letter in place

- Relevant experience in Business Immigration

- Some supervisory experience desirable

- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

- Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritise workload

- Good communication skills

- Confidence in dealing with difficult situations.
