Consultant – Global Strategic International Trade recruitment

Ernst Young's Global Strategic International Trade team (GSITT) is seeking to hire an ambitious consultant to join our team in the Birmingham office.

Our team is unique among the Big 4 as it operates as a single integrated team across multiple geographies. We advise multinational clients in key industry sectors on international trade issues impacting their Global Supply Chain in the areas of cost reduction, risk and compliance and strategic planning, irrespective of where in the world they do business. The successful candidate will join our highly regarded team and be given the unique experience of working on truly global issues on a daily basis.

Your responsibilities as a Consultant in Global Strategic International Trade will include:

- Assisting with provision of global customs compliance services for a broad range of multinational clients in a range of industry sectors

- Preparing responses to client queries

- Managing the successful delivery of smaller projects ensuring technical excellence

- Managing implementation of a number of different projects at any one time, including meeting deadlines, prioritisation and client code/budget management including billings.

Qualifications/skills you'll need as a Consultant in Global Strategic International Trade:

- Good history of academic achievement

- Experience in a related role (e.g. HMRC/Revenue, indirect tax consulting, legal practice, supply chain management, logistics and distribution, freight forwarding etc.)

- Practical knowledge of import and export processes, trade procedures and documentation.
