Summary of Duties

The incumbent works in a team environment to provide pension consulting services to clients, maintains and develops client relationships, and supervises the work of other team members.

Responsibilities

-Oversees the preparation of actuarial valuations for accounting and funding purposes pension plans and employee benefits upon retirement.
-Does studies to evaluate pension plan structures for new and long-standing clients.
-Attends meetings, produces reports, presentations and plan documents for current and prospective clients
-Maintains excellent relations with client representatives, in-house consultants and administrators with respect to plan provisions and member benefits.
-Works on projects with minimum supervision.
-Supervises less experienced employees and acts as a mentor.

Requirements

-A minimum of five years of relevant pension experience.
-FSA and/or FCIA designation or very near completion of requirements.
-Excellent communication, project management and presentation skills.
-Highly organized self-starter, flexible, and independent.
-Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to mentor and coach other team members.
-A good understanding of personal computers and software, particularly MS Office including Visual Basic.
-Bilingual (English and French) an asset.
