Consultant Relations Support Specialist recruitment

Role

Reporting to the Consultant Relations Support Manager the role is to support the consultant relationship team in the positioning of products and services with the institutional consultant community.  This is with the overall objective of increasing new business flow and maintaining client retention in consultant intermediated marketplaces across the UK and Irish institutional business.

This will be achieved through providing first class support to the consultant relationship team, in line with business strategy and individual consultant demands and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide first class support to the Consultant Relationship Team including the provision of accurate, well considered questionnaire responses, RFIs, ad-hoc requests, pre-research meeting information and presentation packs as well as any  other requirements to further strengthen our relationships with consultants at a business and product level

• Facilitate the co-ordination globally of global consultant databases to ensure they are up to date and reflective of our current business, in conjunction with product specialists across the business

• Build a sound understanding of company product offering to the institutional marketplace

• Liaise with Consultant contacts directly, where appropriate, to understand what is required

• Build relationships with those contacts at consultants with whom we liaise in regard to regular and ad-hoc support requests

• Attend consultant conference calls and meetings from time to time in advised capacity as required

• Represent at selected consultant focused events as required

• Record and file all workload in accordance with FSA requirements and the process manual

• Meticulous attention to detail; accurate, efficient with a focus on time management

• Ability to work on own initiative within a team environment and to build and foster productive relationships both internally and externally

• Deadline driven, ability to prioritise and to interpret what is important

• Confidence to challenge convention, identify efficiencies and implement improvements

• Ability to manage multiple workloads and deadlines at a given point in time

• Experience of working in a communication led role in an asset management firm or investment consultancy

• Understanding of the asset management industry with a particular emphasis on the role of consultants, their business models and how they influence the company’s activities and growth

• Experience of working with a range of investment products

• Excellent internal and external relationship management skills

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Analytical skills

• Investment Management Certificate (IMC) or equivalent preferred
