Consultant, Retiree Group Medicare Sales Job in Cleveland, Ohio Us
Responsible for Group Medicare Sales activities including existing and new customer business development, client retention, and sales strategy and oversight. Actively collaborate with commercial sales and account management associates in developing and closing Group Medicare sales opportunities. Lead change that impacts sales, account management, and our group customers, around the changing retiree marketplace and regulatory environment. Continually research and increase knowledge of the health care industry and local competition. Educate and provide guidance to both internal and external audiences about Medicare. Accountable for reaching annual membership goals.
Essential Functions:
- Pursue new group Medicare opportunities individually and through collaboration with various internal departments such as National, Large, and Mid-Market groups. Implement sales process from start to finish in coordination with others teams
- Develop and plan strategic direction for growth in the Ohio Group Retiree Medicare segment. Improve current retiree process within sales, account management, pricing, and the Medicare business line. Implement and monitor ongoing growth strategies for Medicare. Work with internal staff to ensure Group Medicare sales portfolio is updated and competitive
- Facilitate open enrollment meetings and retiree seminars. Maintain positive relationships with existing Medicare Retiree Group book of business. Organize and conduct regional campaigns to improve broker and client relationships. Maintain collaborative relationships with local brokers and connectors
- Aide in resolving all Group Medicare issues with respective accounts. Ensure all member issues are documented and communicated clearly for issue resolution
- Educate brokers, consultants, and connectors about the advantages of Kaiser Permanente's Group Medicare products and services. Support the Manger of Medicare Marketing Sales and other members of the Medicare team on a variety of marketing, product development, and promotional activities
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience
- A minimum of 7 years of sales or account management experience in health care insurance products
- Experience in marketing, business development, and/or managing business to business relationships
- Experience in prospecting and lead generation
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent interpersonal, motivational, negotiation and presentations skills
- Ability to travel locally
- State Health Insurance License within 90 business days of hire
- Valid Ohio driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong, in-depth knowledge of Medicare and CMS regulations
- Knowledge of the health care delivery system and managed care
