Consultant Technologist / Solutions Architect

GENERAL SUMMARY RSA is looking for a Consulting Technologist who will exert significant influence over technology strategy and drive architecture definition and planning across product lines. This individual will work within RSA Security Management Solutions team to plan and deliver assigned projects with an emphasis on architectural integrity and completeness. In addition this person is seen as a technical mentor to other engineers as well as an organizational leader and strong supporter of the RSA values. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ·Identify new opportunities for strategic directions and innovation. ·Analyze technology trends over a one-to-three year time span for influence and impact on RSA products, strategy, and technology. ·Provide recommendations to management on strategic issues based on technical expertise and knowledge of industry trends combined with business needs. ·Serve as internal consultant to engineering, product management, and marketing groups on product requirements, product architecture, and implementation in areas of technical expertise. ·Provide support on technical issues to business organizations such as Legal and Sales. ·Deliver technically-focused presentations to internal audiences to develop and promote RSA technology strategies. ·Deliver technically focused presentations to external audiences (e.g., at conferences) to promote RSA technology strategy and to demonstrate RSA's technical expertise. ·Develop code standards, measurement and code review procedures ·Provide technical leadership for Security Management cross product solutions. SKILLS ·Understanding of business environment. ·Strong communication skills. ·Ability to influence others to achieve results. ·Function well as a lead member of a group. ·Java/J2EE, ASP.NET, Silverlight and solid database knowledge ·In depth performance/profiling ability ·Ability to work in a high-pressure environment. ·Ability to guide/implement an automated testing approach ·Complete understand of unit testing ·Experienced in global engineering (working with geographically distributed engineering teams). Flexible for travelling to remote sites and teleconferencing with teams with significant time zone separation. ·General knowledge of enterprise architectural patterns ·Good understanding of industry trends for computer security. ·Proven ability to architect and build complex enterprise systems. ·Working background in architecting and developing SIEM products - Advantage ·Experience in the following areas is highly desirable: large-scale database systems, real-time design, network monitoring and analysis Experience Required ·Overall industry experience of more than 8 years developing software with at least 3 years as a technical lead or architect ·More than 5 years of experience in developing enterprise class products
