Consultant/S.Consultant, Enterprise / Solution Architect

The Architecture Analysis (AA) group sits within the Technology competency and has over 130 practitioners. Architecture Analysis is integral to the delivery of many client projects. Working with practitioners from within the Technology competency and across Consulting the group provides the analytical and architectural design skills to translate business vision into reality.
Architecture defines how IT components fit together to meet business goals. Individuals in AA's Strategy Architecture capability group work with clients to provide the bridge between business need and the supporting technology, building a holistic view of an organisation to advise on technology-enabled business transformation and define IT strategy, requirements, solutions and roadmaps that deliver the business objectives in the most cost-effective manner. We undertake a broad range of challenging and complex engagements across a variety of clients and industry sectors, selecting and architecting technology solutions, shaping technology programmes, developing and embedding client architecture capability and advising CIOs on enterprise architecture.
The primary focus of the role will be the delivery of the following client engagement types:
- Advice and analysis on the setup and management of an Enterprise Architecture function
- Development of Enterprise Architecture models
- Programme portfolio planning and development of roadmaps for technology-enabled business transformation programmes
- Architecture governance and delivery assurance
- Solution Architecture definition and design
- Solution Architecture assessment, analysis of issues and development of recommendations for their resolution
- Client-side vendor procurement and delivery assurance support and advice
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities require a combination of management, consultancy and technical skills to:
- Perform and support activities within the engagement types defined above (e.g. architecture analysis, architecture modeling, architecture design, requirements definition, roadmap definition, system and vendor selection)
- Support the engagement management team
- Work within or manage teams of Deloitte and client personnel
- Work closely with client stakeholders, e.g. through client interviews or workshop facilitation
- Produce and present reports and other client deliverables
You will also support the continued growth of Architecture Analysis through involvement in internal capability development and sales activity such as:
- Development of propositions to promote sales to new and existing clients
- Development of client proposals
- Development of our capabilities, methods and training
