Job Description:
All qualified candidates must have majority of the following experience:
1. Commissioning, preventive maintenance, emergency response, consulting, warranty, repair and technical direction on industrial electrical equipment.
2. Experience with equipment and systems that may include: Low and Medium Voltage circuit breakers and switches; air, oil and SF6 Breakers; dry and fluid transformers; transformer oil processing; motors and generators; LV and MV starters; AC and DC drives; cables and bus duct; protective relaying; Automation and other industrial equipment.
3. Experience working with electrical measurement equipment including; multimeters, meggers, DLRO's (Ductors), breaker test sets, relay test sets, TTR's (Transformer turns ratio), and various other electrical test equipment
4. Ability to read and understand electrical plans, specifications, drawings, and installation schematics.
5. Familiarity with electrical safety procedures including NFPA70E and OSHA regulations.
6. Ability to manage calibration and maintenance of assigned test equipment.
7. Must be self motivated and be able to lead a team of engineers and technicians to accomplish a project profitably.
8. Must work weekends and Holidays which will be determined by customer demand.
Not required but would be a plus:
1. VFD (Variable Frequency Drives) PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) experience
2. Power System Study experience
Responsibilities:
Perform field service, troubleshooting and commissioning activities for electrical power equipment for industrial and utility customers. Provide on-site technical and operational support in the installation and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems. In addition candidate should be able to provide training of customers to maintain electrical equipment. Develops and submits reports covering all job activity. Candidate may develop the planning and estimating of labor categories, rates, material dollar costs, transportation expenses and per diem rates to complete small proposals. Candidate should display a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to electrical system problems.
