Extremely exciting opportunity to join a leading Consulting company. The company works with many top-tier investment banks and other financial institutions; focussing on corporate finance, MA, strategy, audit, operations / infrastructure, risk management.
We are looking for people with a minimum of 3 to 6 years’ experience of working within any of following business areas: Investment Banking Front Office / Infrastructure, Market Strategy / Corporate Finance / MA - gained either from a consulting company, or Investment Bank – sell side
As a consultant within the business, you will take responsibility for delivery / execution of projects associated with our key clients based in London. The company has grown steadily in the last 3 years due to combination of unique service offering and a growing demand for fully-owned, cost-efficient project delivery within many investment banks.
Required skills and experience:
Senior management at the firm are looking for diverse backgrounds which they feel is key for innovation and quality delivery, therefore we do not have a specified skill-set. however a combination of the following skills/backgrounds would be highly advantageous:
- Knowledge and experience of Investment Banking from a Front Office perspective i.e. Trading ,
- Business Strategy, Corporate Finance and MA.
- Project management / structured methodology
- Evidence of owning / managing projects as an IB employee or as external consultant
- Strong Business Analyst and Project Management skills and be credible working at a senior level. This is a client focused role, therefore excellent communication skills are essential
- Be able to discuss multiple Capital Market products and services and the types of risk associated with each of these them. Candidates must be able to understand how risk is measured, managed as well as the specific regulatory nuances specific to different products/asset classes.
- Understand how the different types of organisations in the Capital Markets industry interact and function. This must include not just the banks and other financial institutions but also public bodies such as the FSA and BoE.
- Solid CV with outstanding academics, numeracy, IT literacy and communication skills. Most importantly the potential to rapidly add value in this extremely switched on environment. Candidates could be from either leading consulting firms or Investment Banking change functions.
