Consumer Discretionary Equity Analyst
Primary responsibilities:
- Researches and evaluates new investment ideas for assigned portfolios which meet investment objectives and portfolio requirements.
- Prepares written reports for Portfolio Manager review which includes investment ideas and reasons supporting ideas based on analysis of relevant factors.
- Recommends stocks to purchase within the consumer discretionary sector.
- Conducts research on existing holdings to determine whether or not they continue to meet stated investment objectives and recommends changes in holdings if no longer compatible with investment objectives.
- Assesses fundamental and technical trends within the consumer discretionary sector to generate appropriate investment ideas and contribute to asset allocation decisions.
Requirements:
- Investment professional with a minimum of five years experience covering the Consumer Discretionary sector in the U.S. and Developed International markets (buy-side experience required).
- Performance track record (will be required to provide performance data).
- Team player and collaborator with a strong fundamental background.
- Ability to communicate ideas effectively, decisive, curious and willingness to learn.
- Progress toward a MBA and/or CFA preferred.
- Long/short experience a plus.
