Consumer Insight Director : Major Global FMCG Account: Confectionary and Chilled Foods

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a leading global Consumer Insight agency, playing an important part in the Retail insight team. The role of 'Consumer Insight Director' involves leading a mini team, managing large clients which are very important to the retail landscape. You will be helping them to improve their brand and marketing strategies and grow their brands by working closely with them, providing powerful insights and recommendations.

The Consumer Insight Director will be a true business partner to this major Food Client producing in excess of £1.5 million in annual budget for 2012. You will have the opportunity to spend a minimum of 1 day per week on site at their offices to get to get to know their business inside out and fully understand their objectives and challenges. Your insights and recommendations will lead to real visible change to the clients' brands promotional, pricing and positioning strategies.
Person requirements:
• 4 years + Consumer research experience either in an agency or client side for a manufacturer or retailer
• Strong analysis and client management skills
• Experience of planning for and implementing the commercial direction of a portfolio of client accounts
• Proven experience of managing a team and projects to achieve and grow account revenue in a commercial environment
• Experience of developing and delivering effective presentations - demonstrating your commercial astuteness with insight and recommendations
• Ability to demonstrate credibility and gravitas to senior people from the outset
• A keen interest in the Retail sector (we're looking for someone who doesn't just enjoy shopping!)
• Brimming with the confidence to challenge clients, share capabilities and present insight
• You'll be enthusiastic and a strong team player
