Consumer Research Analyst (Contract Position)
Job Description:
Support the consumer team in HK.
Responsibilities:
- On the ground research and monitoring of price/soft commodities price trends of various consumer subspaces, including but not limited to apparel, footwear, food and beverage, household paper products, etc.
- Periodic (at least monthly) comprehensive analysis and written summary of various consumer subspaces, including but not limited to selling price trend, cost trend, and interesting dynamics in consumer behavior trends.
- Co-operate with third party consultant or industry specialist in building customized database.
- Respond to various requests from HK team.
- Location: Beijing or Shanghai
Qualifications:
- If candidate is from a corporate operations background, he/she must have at least 5 years experience in an operational capacity such as operations management or supply chain management.
- If candidate is from a consultant background, he/ she must have a minimum of 3 years experience at a reputable consulting firm, covering retail/FMCG industry.
- Strong writing skills and proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently.
- Conversational level in English is a must.
- Willing to work under tight deadline, and reasonably long hours.
