Deloitte Audit is currently seeking a Production Support Team Lead to play a lead role in the ongoing support and maintenance of the firm's Content Management System (CMS). The successful candidate will have an extensive background in content management system implementation and integration, with strong experience in Documentum architecture, custom development and integration utilizing the Documentum platform. The Production Support Team Lead will manage the development team focused on the maintenance and support of the CMS system within Deloitte Audit.
As part of the Maintenance and
Support team, this individual will need to operate in a fast-paced dynamic environment where urgent support and fixes/patches may need to run through testing and deployment cycles rapidly, but with structure, discipline, and a high-quality focus. Finally, this individual should have significant experience in vendor platform upgrades, ensuring system compatibility and quality with minor and major platform upgrades.
Responsibilities
Role Specific Responsibilities
- Lead the development team focused on Deloitte Audit's Content Management System (CMS) support and maintenance efforts
- Ensure timely and quality client service/support is provided to Deloitte's member firms
- Leverage past experience and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with all stakeholders including internal clients, senior management, IT staff, and operations
- Function independently on assignments with minimal supervision while remaining highly collaborative
- Create
and clearly articulate optimal software designs to meet the business objectives
- Ensure quality practices are followed in the design, development and testing of our application maintenance initiatives
- Lead execution activities and approaches for software maintenance, including configuration management during the software development life cycle, appropriate software build and release processes, and patch and maintenance packaging
- Create and execute industry best practices within area of responsibility
- Operate and manage effectively utilizing an onsite/offshore model
- Develop operational forecast and budget for area of responsibility and manage expenses to budget goals
- Ensure tight collaboration for problem resolution across the various development and testing functions
- Solicit constructive input from and build consensus among groups and constituencies with differing priorities and perspectives
- Minimize schedule and technical risk by
foreseeing and addressing obstacles proactively and aggressively
People Management
- Participate in the recruitment and selection of a talented IT team
- Effectively cultivate a culture of teamwork and innovation among the staff
- Manage project/resource estimation activities
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information system or related field. Master's in information systems or business preferred.
Technical Skills
- 6+ years experience managing Content Management implementations (including publish/subscribe) and production support
- Ability to architect an ECM solution and provide optimization recommendations to content managers
- Deep knowledge of software support functions such as field driven ticket support, patching and patch management, collaborating with development team, collaborating with deployment team, support metrics, support communications, etc
- EMC Documentum and design, development, and
deployment experience
- Experience Extending the Documentum Object Model and Business Objects Framework
- Documentum Foundation Services programming experience preferred
- Java and .NET Development using Rational and Visual Studio
- Solid database and SQL Server skills (stored procedures, TSQL, schema design)
- Background in software development and content management system implementation, including SOA
- Experience in leading a Documentum development team on- and off-shore
- Experience in mentoring and providing guidance and best practices to other developers
- Ability to work with business user stakeholders to explore and refine requirements
- Ability to work with other development teams in a large-scale, fast-paced project environment
- Experience with the Documentum Technical Publishing Solution an asset
- Experience with implementing XML-based authoring with a content management system an asset
- Experience with
Documentum on a Microsoft platform an asset
- Ability to provide technical recommendations for performance issues including: application integration optimization, platform hardware analysis, architecture optimization techniques, and performance troubleshooting techniques
- Experience and advanced understanding around large scale systems software maintenance and support methodologies and processes
Other Qualifications
- Experience providing oversight support to a large maintenance and support team
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint).
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
- Eagerness to mentor junior staff
