Continuing Healthcare Assessors
CONTINUING HEALTHCARE - TYNE AND WEAR
Hays Healthcare is working alongside a leading medico-legal company who need to recruit nurses for roles as Continuing Healthcare Assessors. Based in Houghton le Spring, this role does not require any hands on clinical practitioning, but needs nurses to prepare detailed medical assessments in support of appeals for clients who have been rejected from receiving NHS continuing care.
This role will require a strong analytical approach that will need to be backed up with excellent written and verbal communication skills. The post holder will be required to identify pertinent medical and nursing issues, identifying any missing records and discrepancies
.
You will be supported by a team of Health Record Analysts producing draft reports, so the ability to coach, lead and motivate others and to provide professional advice in a positive and productive fashion is a pre-requisite and key to success.
Applicants should have the following skills and qualifications:
· Current RGN / RMN qualified nurse with at least 5 years post registration experience
· Experience of community, care home and or district nursing
· Experience and knowledge of the National Framework for Continuing Healthcare
· Evidence of managerial skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to obtain and convey accurate information
· Ability to concentrate and focus on complex information for longs periods of time
· Computer literate
