Continuous Improvement Engineer (H/F) Job in Dayton 45390, Ohio US

The Continuous Improvement Engineer will drive continuous and long-term performance improvement throughout their zone by:

Process Oriented Management (i.e. involvement of all people, simplification of all flows and implementation of structured methods.)

Executing the Autonomous Management Master plan implementation for the site.

Utilizing practical tools to drive improvements (i.e. OPL (one point lesson), zoning, problem solving groups, root cause analysis, work instructions, 5S, etc.)

Establishing a continuous improvement roll-out timeline for their area of focus that is aligned with the goals of the organization.

Creating a structured training and implementation plan through the use of outside experts.

Tailoring the continuous improvement methodologies (DaMaWay) to the teams.

Initiating Problem Solving Groups when necessary

Requirements:

 

Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or similar

2 to 5 years of manufacturing experience, including internships

Ability to influence production unit, support staff and others

Ability and willingness to initiate continuous improvement practices and trainings, i.e. lean, 5S, WCM, TPM, Six Sigma

Ability to establish and maintain trust of the supervisory group and hourly associates

Ability to develop working relationships with engineering, quality and corporate
