***CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT / LEAN MANAGER - MANUFACTURING - LANCASHIRE c. £40,000***
ROLE
The role will involve the provision of detailed analysis of manufacturing and related processes, recommending and implementing improvements using modern management techniques e.g. Kaisen, VSM, FMEA, SMED, 5S etc... Whilst taking full account of legislative requirements, Site Safety, Health, Environment and Quality policies. It will provide support to the management team in developing and improving processes across the site. It will also involve working with MAE suppliers in specifying, in line with company procedures, new plant and equipment to meet the current and future needs of the organisation.
PERSON.
Applicants must be experienced in managing Process Improvement within the manufacturing sector. It is essential that you have hands-on experience utilising some of the proven tools and techniques such as 5s and other lean manufacturing elements. We are looking for an analytical Manager / Engineer who can carry out breakdown diagnostics and analysis then follow through with the appropriate solution leading to improved manufacturing performance. The candidate can be either a graduate with a relevant degree, or a person with a proven track record as a Continuous Improvement Manager.
