Contract Administrator

Tyco Valves Controls - has an exciting role for a Contract Administrator in our Mansfield, MA location.
The Contract Administrator will support the Navy/Marine Team by confirming and writing contract provisions and monitoring fulfillment. The Administrator will manage business for assigned accounts or specific contracts, as assigned by the Manager. Under minimal supervision, the Contract Administrator is responsible for the following duties:
- Review bid packages and assist with project negotiations.
- Development of a comprehensive proposal, sizing and selection, pricing, etc.
- Support customers by answering inquiries regarding contract provisions, interpretation, and modifications.
- Coordinate client visitations.
- Review and clarify order requirements.
- Perform order write-up and take responsibility to include pertinent information and instructions on shop orders to be used by other departments.
- Complete and provide submittal drawings and other project documentation such as quality inspection and test plans, production plans, test procedures, etc.
- Ensure that all order/project requirements are met by interfacing with other departments including Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Machine Shop, Assembly and Finance.
- Technical knowledge of valves and valve products, administrative writing skills, building client relationships, resolving conflict, coordination, negotiation, contracts law and closing skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical area, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite.
- Oral and written communications, as well as interpersonal skills.
