Contract Administrator Job in Washington 20515, District Of Columbia US

The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) provides operations support services and business solutions to the community of 10,000 House Members, Officers and staff. The CAO organization comprises more than 600 technical and administrative staff working in a variety of areas, including information technology, finance, budget management, human resources, payroll, child care, food and vending, procurement, logistics and administrative counsel.

The incumbent serves as a Contract Administrator and is responsible for the management and oversight of all assigned contracts that provide a full range of services to the House community. The incumbent monitors the contractor's performance using required skills and experience to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of the contract(s). The incumbent monitors the financial status of assigned contract(s) to ensure strict accountability of all revenues for revenue-producing contracts. 

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Provides contract and financial oversight.

2. Monitors contractor's performance and resolve issues that may arise in performance of contract.

3. Provides periodic reporting as determined by management.

4. Ensures high level of quality control and customer service.

5. Coordinates contract issues with the Contracts Specialists and Contracting Officer

6. Provides information at the request of senior management and the Committee on House Administration

7. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (accounting or business management preferred) or equivalent level of professional work experience.

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience plus an additional 2 years of specific experience with public procurement.

Contract administration skills require hands-on daily management of assigned contracts.

Planning, project management, reporting and financial skills are necessary to ensure contract compliance and financial visibility/transparency.
