The successful candidate will negotiate multiple Research agreements (pre-contract execution through post contract execution) to assist with contract overflow work from the Research Contracts group. The position's responsibilities are to also include administrative duties and assisting with the Research Reagents MTA Program. RESPONSIBLITIES MAY INCLUDE: Contracting Work-- Draft and Negotiate the following contracts: SOWs, Consulting Agreements, Fee For Service Agreements, Amendments, Laboratory Agreements and Incoming Reagent MTAs; Update departmental databases in a timely and accurate manner to reflect most current contract status Regularly liaise with internal GNE scientists and Legal as well as external parties (Tech Transfer Offices/Office of Sponsored Research). Admin Duties-- Creating Shopping Carts and Payment requests; Tracking payments / shopping carts and following up as necessary; Creating Fed Ex shipments; Routing agreements for approvals Research Reagents MTA Program-- Assist with post MTA execution processes, including: generating shipping sheets and sending them to labs, tracking and monitoring reagent shipping status and preparing general correspondence. QUALIFICATIONS: Advanced scientific degree; business or legal discipline a plus Minimum 2-4 years relevant work experience. Demonstrated contracting and negotiating skills are a plus. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to independently and creatively solve problems Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Strong time management, prioritization and organizational skills Detail oriented, a team player attitude and reliable. Should be comfortable working with databases and enterprise business systems.
